Google Search-Based Keyword Tool

Submitted by Fabian Lim on November 20, 2008 – 1:34 am3 Comments

Google recently released a new beta keyword tool.

It’s called the Google Search-Based Keyword Tool.

You do not need to be signed-in to Google AdWords to use this tool, however, when you are signed-in, "the Search-based Keyword Tool will base its results on your website, examine the keywords you’re already using, and filter out any potential duplicates so that it only recommends new keyword ideas."

A neat little-known feature of this tool is the ability to research top category keywords – by clicking on the Or see top keywords across all categories link at the bottom of the page.

You can extract up to 800 category keywords!

Another useful feature is the ability to extract geo-targeted keywords.

You can change the country settings by clicking on Settings on the top right of the page.
