I recently came back from a short vacation in Bangkok (YES – I DO take a break once in a long while!).
There, my travelling buddy Jaz Lai, introduced me to the world of Nintendo Wii gaming. Being a strict flight simulator enthusiast (i.e. Flight Simulator X is the only computer ‘game’ I ‘play’ on my PC), I was wondering how Nintendo Wii could get me excited. So we shopped at Bangkok’s MBK Center and chanced upon a store selling Nintendo Wii console, games and accessories.
I was immediately in awe on the fact that the level of interaction for Wii games was really almost unbelieveable. For example, if you wanted to swing a golf club in Tiger Woods 2008, you literally had to treat the controller like a golf club and swing it like one. No wonder Jaz was so excited about purchasing a Wii!
To keep the story short, Jaz and I ended purchasing a Nintendo Wii, a couple of games and accessories. Upon returning to Singapore, I immediately searched the internet to research more Nintendo Wii games and accessories (and to make sure we were really given a good deal
) and found out that Amazon.com carried quite a large range of Nitendo Wii products.
At this point, I remembered Amazon had an aStore system that Amazon affiliates could use to promote Amazon products.
I finally found a perfect reason to create an Amazon aStore!
After logging in to my Amazon affiliate center, I clicked on the aStore link and started to create an Amazon aStore.
Half an hour later, I had finished creating my Buy Nintendo Wii Amazon aStore, complete with basic on-page search engine optimization!
The best part of it is you don’t need ANY HTML or programming experience to create an Amazon aStore.
Unlike the previous aStore versions, the current version automatically pulls much more content for each product page & it offers a built-in shopping cart functionality.
For example, if you look at my Guitar Hero 3 (it’s a Nintendo Wii game, BTW) product page, you’ll notice it is populated with the following content:
- Product Details
- Product Description
- Product Features
- Editorial Reviews
- Customer Reviews
In order to create an Amazon aStore to promote Amazon products, you’ll first need to join the Amazon Associate Program.
Check it out and let me know what you think:
Buy Nintendo Wii Amazon aStore.

P.S. Your aStore pages can rank well in the search engines as they are very search-engine friendly, but you won’t be able to perform heavy on-page optimization on your aStore pages.

Hi Fabian,
One question for you regarding aStore. Is Amazon aStore automatically seach engine optimize?
Or do we have to do it manually after setting up aStore? Thanks!
Hi Benny,
Amazon aStore is not ‘automatically’ SEOed.
And you can’t perform heavy SEO on aStore.
But aStore is search engine friendly and you can get pretty good seach engine rankings for your pages.
It really boils down to the keywords you choose.
Hope this helps.
Fabian
Cheers, Fabian.
First I’ve heard of aStore. It took me only 30 minutes to sign up, choose a product, do basic keyword research and set up a store.
Nice work Michael!
Best of success online with your Amazon aStore!
Fabian
Hi fabian,
Any suggestions to promote aStore besides Google Adwords?
Hey Benny,
You should promote your aStore using FREE traffic generation methods like article marketing. Start by writing a couple of articles relating to the product you are promoting. Be sure to include the target keyword in the title of the article. Also make sure the URL of your aStore is included in the ‘Resource Box’ of your article. Then submit your articles to an article directory like http://www.ezinearticles.com
Hope this helps.

Hi Fabian
Amazon astore sound pretty interesting. Will definately try it out. As a regular traveller to Bangkok, esp MBK for 3 to 4 times a year, (for holiday, spa, shop till dead!), now should open more opportunity to earn then to spent! Thanks for your recommendation.
Hi Fabian
I’ve seen your astore “buy nintendo Wii”
how to write some phrase on page like on your astore “Welcome To Nintendo Wii aStore @ Amazon.com! ..blablablabla”
Hi Cynthia,
You are most welcome!
Now go out there and create more aStores and drive traffic to them using your Advanced SEO skills!

Hi all,
You can add additional text on your Amazon aStore by first going to the ‘Edit Category Page’ section, then entering the text on in the ‘Category description displayed at the top of this page’ input box.

Hi Fabian,
I created an astore 3 days ago but it has not appeared on Google’s Search Engine. Can i know whether or not an astore will automatically be added to the search engines once created? Normally how long will it take? Or is there any extra step i have to take to bring my astore to search engines?
Thanks.
